On March 18th, we hosted an incredible event titled 'A Bridge from Israel to Y Combinator', bringing together ambitious founders, investors, and the wider startup community to explore the journey from the Israeli tech ecosystem to one of the world's most prestigious startup accelerators – Y Combinator.

The Vision Behind the Event

The event was organized by Jason Freedman, the General Manager at Orange Collective VC and a two-time YC alumnus who invests solely in the top 5% of companies admitted to the Y Combinator acceleration program.

Jason shared his goal of increasing the number of Israeli founders in YC from a few each year to dozens or even hundreds. He offered Israeli entrepreneurs his guidance and the support of YC alumni to help them create stronger applications and be better prepared for the YC selection process.

Speaker Lineup

In addition to Jason's presentation and Oren Simanian, who discussed investing through an Israeli early-stage angel club, we also featured Alex Bouaziz, CEO and Co-founder of Deel and another YC alumnus.

In this one-on-one fireside chat, Alex shared his journey to success through YC, along with his passion and vision.

What’s Next?

We are dedicated to continuing to foster connections and build bridges between Israeli startups and global investors. Stay tuned for more events and initiatives that will support our thriving startup community!

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event.

Special thanks to Omri Barzilai from Orange Collective VC, and Dikla Matias from Google for Startups, who made this event possible.
